REPORT ON KALYANA KARNATAKA LIBERATION DAY CELEBRATION

Loyola Institutions, Manvi, celebrated Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day on 17 September 2026 at 9:00 a.m. The celebration began with the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Loyola School Quadrangle. The National Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Shanthraj A. SJ, Field Officer, LCSC, Manvi, in the presence of Rev. Fr. Cyprian Tellis SJ, Superior, Loyola Institutions, Manvi, and Rev. Fr. Vinod Paul SJ, Principal, Loyola Degree College.

The dignitaries, Fathers, Sisters, teachers and students then proceeded to Arrupe Hall, where the main programme began with a prayer song by the students of Loyola PU College. Pratiksha of Xavier School, Manvi, delivered the welcome address, followed by a speech on the significance of Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day by a student of Loyola School.

The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Shanthraj A. SJ, was introduced and addressed the gathering. This was followed by an inspiring speech by Rev. Fr. Cyprian Tellis SJ. The occasion was graced by Rev. Fr. Cyril Raj SJ, Director, Loyola School; Rev. Fr. Wilson Bennis SJ, Principal, Xavier School, Manvi; Rev. Fr. Avinash Lobo SJ, Finance Officer, Loyola Institutions; Mrs. Shruthi Khasim, Principal, Loyola PU College; and Sr. Juliet Monteiro UFS, Headmistress, Loyola School.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by a CNFC member, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, Fathers, Sisters, staff and students for their presence and contribution to the celebration.

The celebration was a meaningful occasion that helped students appreciate the history, heritage, unity and progress of Kalyana Karnataka.
