REPORT ON TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION – 2026

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and gratitude at Xavier School CBSE, Manvi, on 5 September 2026 to honour the dedication and selfless service of teachers.

The programme began with the Opening and Introduction by the student anchors, followed by a Prayer Song by the School Choir and a Special Welcome to the Teachers. A tribute was paid to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the renowned philosopher, scholar, teacher and second President of India, whose birthday on 5 September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day in India. His portrait was honoured, followed by the Teachers’ Day Cake Cutting Ceremony.

The teachers were respectfully seated and escorted from the stage, followed by an Address by a Teacher. The cultural programme included dance performances by Classes I–III, VI–VII, IV and V, a speech by Manjunath of Class VIII, and a Kannada speech by Ankitha of Class IX. The Special Skit by the Class X Boys entertained the audience.

The teachers enthusiastically participated in the One-Minute Games, followed by a vibrant dance performance by the High School Girls and Boys and a Musical Concert by Sam and Band. The programme also included Prize Distribution to Teachers, a Presidential Address, and the Vote of Thanks.

Finally, the student anchors delivered the Closing and Teachers’ Day Greetings, bringing the celebration to a joyful conclusion.

Conclusion

The celebration was a meaningful expression of gratitude, respect and love for teachers. The prayers, speeches, dances, skit, games, music and felicitation made the day joyful and memorable. It reminded everyone that teachers are guiding lights who inspire, nurture and shape the future generation.
