Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola

The Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Loyola Institutions, Manvi, on 31 July 2026. The programme began at 9:30 a.m. with the Holy Eucharist, offered by Rev. Fr. Jaison Roy OFM, along with the concelebrating Jesuit priests. After the Holy Eucharist, the formal programme was conducted as per the scheduled order, including the introduction, prayer dance, welcome speech, inauguration, introduction of the Chief Guest, Chief Guest’s address, felicitation, Presidential address and vote of thanks.
The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Jaison Roy OFM, and President, Rev. Fr. Cyprian Tellis, graced the celebration along with the heads of the institutions: Rev. Fr. Wilson, Principal, Xavier School, Manvi; Rev. Fr. Cyril Raj, Director, Loyola School, Manvi; Rev. Fr. Vinod Paul, Principal, Degree College; Rev. Fr. George Pinto, Parish Priest, Pannuru Church; Rev. Fr. Yesunath, Director, Loyola Kapepaladi School, Pannuru; Sr. Juliet Monteiro, Headmistress, Loyola School; and Sr. Selina, Headmistress, Loyola Kapepaladi School, Pannuru.
The cultural programme added colour and joy to the celebration through a spot game, presentation on the life of St. Ignatius, folk dance, skit, fusion dance, song on St. Ignatius and mime presented by the various institutions.
The celebration concluded with gratitude and joy, inspiring everyone to follow the spirit of St. Ignatius of Loyola through faith, service, dedication and the motto “For the Greater Glory of God.”
