<p>Loyola Institutions, Manvi, celebrated Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day with great enthusiasm on 17th September 2025. The programme began by hoisting the national flag and honoring the portraits of Sardar Vallaba bai Patel, Dr.B.R Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi and Vishwa Karma followed by a prayer song rendered by the students. A warm welcome address by Harshiya of class 8, Xavier School. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Kasim Sab, Vice-Principal of Loyola College, who in his speech highlighted the history and significance of Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day.</p> <p>The programme was presided over by Fr Cyprian Tellis SJ, Superior of Loyola Institutions, who in his presidential address also emphasized the importance of this day in fostering unity and regional pride. Other dignitaries present were Fr Vinod Paul, Principal Loyola College; Fr Praveen Kumar, Principal Loyola PU College; Fr Wilson Bennis, Principal Xavier School (CBSE); Fr Cyril Raj, Director Loyola School; Sr Juliet, Headmistress Loyola School; and Fr Maxim Rasquinha SJ, Founding Member of Loyola Institutions.</p> <p>Maruthi a student of class 5 of Loyola school delivered inspiring speech on the occasion, adding youthful spirit to the celebration. The event was hosted by Roslin of class 9 of Loyola School and concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sanjana of class 10, Xavier School.</p> <p>The programme instilled a sense of patriotism and reminded everyone of the sacrifices made for the liberation of Kalyana Karnataka.</p>
