Principal’s Message

Rev. Fr. Wilson Bennis

Xavier School, the Only school affiliated to CBSE in Manvi Taluk, was founded in 2008 and is managed by the members of the Society of Jesus, popularly known as the Jesuits. The Society of Jesus is a Catholic religious order founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola in 1540 in Rome and has been active in the field of education throughout the world since its origin. Xavier School is named after St. Francis Xavier, the first Jesuit who came to India in 1542.

Jesuit education is distinctive as it lays the emphasis on teaching “the whole person” — mind, body, and spirit. It fosters not only intellectual development, but also moral and spiritual growth.

The Jesuit principles of conscience, compassion, commitment, competence, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and care for mother earth are the foundation on which we strive to form all the students at Xavier School.

The education imparted in Xavier School focuses on “Forming men and women for and with others.” The students are helped to form themselves and contribute for the well-being of their family, society, world and the entire creation. Leadership traits such as self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making are instilled in our students from a very young age.
The school has reached out to so many underprivileged, unreached and unnoticed children over the past many years. It is heart-warming and a proud moment for the management, staff and stakeholders to see so many of our students well established in their career and life. The Motto “Reaching the Unreached” has guided and will continue to guide us to reach, mould and form young minds towards transformation. Being the ONLY CBSE school in the Manvi Taluk, the Xavier School will continue to be a beacon in the life of many students.
